1. Sépaq National Parks

The national parks of the Society of Outdoor Establishments of Quebec (Sépaq) offer total immersion in the heart of Quebec’s nature. In addition, it is possible to choose the location of your site when you book. So you can be miles away from the next human being if you want!

Depending on what you prefer (a rustic campsite, with services or “ready-to-camp”), there is something for all tastes and all budgets, in all regions of the province.

2. Frelighsburg Ecological Campground, Eastern Townships

Located in an idyllic corner of nature, the ecological campsite of Frelighsburg offers a pretty river and magnificent walks in the surroundings. The campsite has a swimming pool for hot days, but it is also possible to go deep into the woods to pitch your tent or park your trailer if you want to be safe from prying eyes.

You will meet dozens of species of birds and deer! Everything is done to ensure that your stay takes place in perfect harmony with nature

3. Saint-Barnabé Island Campground, Bas-du-Fleuve

About 20 minutes from Rimouski by ferry, Camping de l’île Saint-Barnabé is almost untouched by humans. It only offers 12 rustic campsites. You really feel like you’re alone in the world!

The island is embellished with many hiking trails and interpretation panels that run along the coast, which get lost in the forest or cross fields. There, do not expect great luxury, but prepare to find peace. In addition, you can admire magnificent sunsets , in peace.

4. Camping Bon Désir, in Les Bergeronnes, North Shore

Located by the river, Camping Bon Désir in Les Bergeronnes, on the North Shore, offers perfect vantage points for whale watching (but book early to get a site on the water’s edge.)

5. Baie-du-Diable Campground, Upper Laurentians

With a beach, a convenience store and several activities offered on the site itself, you can choose to be social…or lose yourself in the hiking trails and discover wonderful corners of nature for yourself.

Camping  Baie-du-Diable also offers several panoramas offering breathtaking views of nearby rivers and lakes.

Camping la Maison Verte , in Gaspésie, offers a hundred rustic sites without services or equipped. It is even possible to rent a tent or trailer on site if you don’t have any equipment.

6. Pont Couvert Campground, Eastern Townships

Located in the Coaticook Valley, Camping du Pont Couvert offers rustic sites, more developed sites, yurts and mini cabins. There is something for all types of campers!

The site is located in the heart of a magnificent region allowing you to discover paths and breathtaking panoramas, agrotourism sites and several historical heritage monuments – 3 covered bridges which can be reached on foot, among others.

Parc de la Rivière Batiscan offers campsites ranging from the most rustic to the most developed . The biggest advantage: the pitches are quite far from each other and almost always in wooded areas. We really find ourselves in the middle of nature… And what nature! A magnificent river, hiking trails, exceptional flora and fauna: there is everything to make your stay unforgettable!

Barely thirty rustic sites are spread out in this enchanting setting on the banks of the Rivière Cachée. On the Aventures Norbec campsite , it is even allowed to fish directly from your pitch!

Only tents are allowed. The site still has an on-site toilet block with washer-dryer, which is always practical in case of bad weather. It is possible to rent mountain bikes on site to explore all the wooded trails. All this, close to the provincial capital.

There are dozens, if not hundreds of quiet campsites in our beautiful province, and we only offer you a very small selection here. One thing is certain, it is not the nature and the calm that are lacking in Quebec: you will certainly find your happiness by looking a little.
